Made from the iconic Areni grape, a symbol of Armenia’s terroir, this wine comes from ungrafted vines aged 50 to 100 years. Located in the picturesque village of Aghasafi in the Vayots Dzor region, at 1200 meters altitude, the vineyards thrive in unique soils composed of volcanic rock and alluvial deposits, giving the wine its depth and distinct minerality.
Aging and Vinification of Zulal Reserve
The careful vinification process takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in neutral French and Caucasian oak barrels. This precise aging allows the wine to maintain the purity of its aromas while adding a velvety texture and refined complexity.
