Grape variety 100% Areni
Grapes issued from 40-60-year-old south-facing vineyards situated 1500 meters above sea level in Aghavnadzor, Vayots Dzor with volcanic soil. Original rootstock (no phylloxera in Armenia). Hand harvested in small lots and hand sorted. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in Caucasian oak barrels for 15 months.
TASTING NOTES
This barrel-aged Areni has an elegant deep red color. Powerful aromatics of cherry, strawberry and subtle hints of smoke escape the glass. On the palate Oshin Areni Reserve has soft and silky texture rich in blackberry, bright red fruit and spicy flavors. A prolonged finish of red currants lavender and sweet oak closes out the wine
